God’s Complete Salvation

The two aspects of God’s complete salvation

The five items of the judicial redemption

Positional sanctification

Key verse: 1 Corinthians 1:2a
“To the church of God which is in Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, the called saints”

To be sanctified in Christ means that we have been put into Christ. He is the element and sphere that separated us from every negative thing unto God when we believed in Him. What we see in 1 Corinthians 1:2 is the matter of our standing in Christ positionally. We should never depreciate our position in Christ. God has put us into Christ, and this position makes it possible for us to receive God’s rich dispensing of His divine life and nature. However, Christ’s redeeming blood sanctifies us only positionally, not dispositionally, inwardly. This is because the blood is not able to accomplish anything in us with respect to the intrinsic life. This inward working is that of the Holy Spirit, with God’s holy nature, to sanctify us dispositionally (The Conclusion, 1142-1144).
